The main difference is that ranking provide a rank with respect to other but accreditation rate HEIs independent of other

These factors carres different weightage while calculating the overall score

VIT is going for the fourth phase of NAAC accreditation and hence we need 3.51 or above to reach A++

Aim is to reach in the first best 500 worldwide rank
More freedom, autonomy
Public universities will get 1000 Cr like IIT but private will not get funding
Everyone's contribution is important and hence we need to enter the details such as funding, publication etc in the portal
Initially it is a big burden but once we could reach there will be benefits

For each file there will be one file manager person and one rack manager
There is one persoon for each file and in each school there will be one faculty for all the files and different schools heads for different schools etc
Mam explained what are the criteria for getting the ranking
Like QS, NAAC , QS etc and what are the contribution needed from faculty is explained
Finally she explained the things with some nice cartoon like slides
Overall it was a nice talk very informative generally we will not get it from faculties
We heard about different ranking and all but never aware about the factors that are used for ranking and all
